I really want to sell my Sportster before my upcoming surgery so I am reducing the price to $7250. This is a great price for a Harley-Davidson with low mileage, extended service plan, and some great upgrades. If there are upgrades you do not like I have most of the original parts so you can change this XL1200 Custom back to stock if you'd like.

Harley-Davidson Extended Service Plan

Included in the purchase of this 2008 Sportster XL1200 Custom is the remainder of the 5 year, unlimited mileage Harley-Davidson Extended Service Plan. The plan is fully transferable to the new owner. The plan even includes Tire and Wheel coverage. Coverage is good until September 2012.

I have most of the original parts so if there are any upgrades you don't like you can switch back to the originals. 

2008 Sportster XL1200 Custom Mileage

Here's a photo of the odometer taken March 20, 2010. The current mileage reads 4293. You can see the Harley-Davidson tachometer mounted above the speedometer.

Why am I selling?

I have a broken leg (not motorcycle related) that is not healing and I can't stand seeing this great motorcycle sit in the garage, under cover, for another riding season. I've owned several motorcycles including sport bikes and dual-purpose bikes and this Sporster is the most comfortable and darn near best handling of the lot.

This is a machine that needs to be out in the sun, clocking miles.

My asking price

I am asking $7,950 for this better than new 2008 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL1200 Custom; a great price for a bike with low mileage, extended service contract, awesome upgrades, and fuel economy averaging 40 mpg. I've got a complete set of receipts and service history. If you are looking for a great ride for both the open road and mountain curves this is the motorcycle for you. I live in South Carlsbad (North County San Diego) and this is where the Sportster is garaged.
